Reingau
REGION
The Rheingau is one of the 13 wine regions in Germany. Vineyards occupy only 3125 hectares of the land. The region is located in the southwest of Germany. To the north of the Rheingau rises the Taunus mountain range, so most of the Rheingau vineyards are located on the southern slope between hills and streams. This location provides wonderful conditions for growing grapes in these northern latitudes. The Rheingau is honored as Germany’s most established wine region and a major hotspot for its elegant mid- to full-bodied (solid) Riesling wines.
