Weingut Krone Assmannshausen
BRAND OWNER
The story begins in 1541 in Assmannshausen. Two business partners Johannes Rab and Johann Umhoff met at the house of the local mayor to buy an unfinished house. They converted it into an inn and named it Krone Assmannshausen.

In 1860, a winery with a 60-meter high natural stone cellar was built. That was the beginning of today’s Krone Assmannshausen winery. At the end of the 19th century, the legendary Hufnagel family took over the management of the Krone hotel and winery.

Nowadays the descendants of the family are still running and owning the winery, and in early 2007, after making a large investment in the project, the Wegeler-Drieseberg family, which owns the Weinguter Wegeler, joined the group of owners. Wine guide Falstaff 4* four stars out of five possible.
