Mineral water from Burgundy, Franche-Comté, the region of France.
The source of Velmenfroy originates among the maiden forests of the Haute-Saône department in which the water resources of the Franche-Comté region are concentrated.
The source has been originated
in 1828 and soon became famous for its beneficial effects
In 1859
Emperor Napoleon III, by his decree proclaimed the water from Velmenfroy natural mineral water
In the 19th — early 20th century
there was a spa resort famous all over Europe
Then the complex
turned out to be abandoned for as much as 40 years, but in 2004 it was bought out by Paul Pouillon, and since 2016 mineral water has been bottled in Velmenfroy again
The absence of nitrates or other contaminants indicates the quality of the environment around the source, as well as the unique structure of the aquifer. Underground rocks are a powerful natural filter, a thick layer of impenetrable clay and various layers of marl (marl is an extremely hard rock through which water passes very slowly). It is during its underground passage that water is enriched with minerals and trace elements necessary for health organism. The unique properties of Velleminfroy water extracted from a depth of 33 meters are the result of its journey through the bowels of the earth for about 6,000 years*. * Source: Radiocarbon Dating Analysis Report of Well Tom at Welmenfroy — Beta Analytic Inc.
