STATE
Victoria is a state in Australia, located on the southeastern tip near Melbourne. The state has 21 wine regions, with over 850 wineries. The only one exception is Yarra Valley, the state’s wine regions are little known outside of Australia. Victorian winemaking is associated with the high-quality Pinot Noirs and Chardonnay, and Shiraz is popular, too.

There are almost no areas in the state where it would be possible to do industrial mass winemaking with easily organized irrigation. This is due to the uneven terrain — here are the foothills of the Great Dividing Range. Therefore, there are more small boutique manufacturers in Victoria who rely on quality rather than quantity.
