Vallée du Rhône — The Rhone Valley (Vallée du Rhône) is a wine-growing region in the southeast of France located along the great Rhone River for 200 km — from Vienne to Avignon. It is divided into two parts — Southern and Northern Rhone.

The Northern Rhone has a continental climate. In Southern Rhone, the area of vineyards is much larger. The climate is Mediterranean. Rhone Valley — currently covers an area of ​​about 75 thousand hectares. Which employs about 12,000 winegrowers in 26 appellations and produces here an average of 3.3 million heads of wine per year, of which 92% are red, 2% rosé and 6% white.
