Chateauneuf-du-Pape
APPELLATION
Chateauneuf-du-Pape is the most important wine-growing region of the Southern Rhone, located north of Avignon on the hills over which the ruins of the summer papal palace rise. The appellation itself roughly translates as "The New Castle of the Pope" referring us to the time when the residence of the Pope moved here from Rome.

Vineyards occupy a little over 3.2 thousand hectares. where up to 13 varieties of grapes are allowed to be grown and used at the same time
