California is the most famous of the wine regions of America in the same state of the United States of America on the Pacific coast. It is divided into 6 main sub-regions where over 80% of the country’s wine production is made. The relief is mountainous, coastal ranges are 2500 m high, in the East — the Sierra Nevada mountains (up to 4418 m). California is 299 thousand hectares with vineyards.
