Gevrey-Chambertin is a commune (village) in the Côte de Nuits region (northern part of Côte d’Or). It produces some of the most prestigious and expensive red wines of the planet from the Pinot Noir variety.
Gevrey-Chambertin is 408 hectares of vineyards, but 26 Premier Cru and 9 Grand Cru fit in this space (more than in any other Burgundian commune).
