Friedrich Becker
BRAND OWNER
Winery Frederic Bekar originated recently in 1973 the first bottles were bottled. Main to this, the Becker family as the most of the neighbors were ordinary farmers and grew all kinds of crops on their lands. The understanding that some plots of land are comfortable and even perfect for growing grapes did not come urgently.

Otherwise, the first results of the work were impressive and encouraged winemakers to further development. After analyzing the soil, it became clear that the vineyards are the best suited for the Pinot family of grapes — Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc together with Chardonnay they occupy 60% of the plantings, but today the line includes wines from almost all international and indigenous varieties grapes, as well as sekt. 22% is given to Riesling, the remaining 18% is shared between Silvaner, Muskateller Gewürztraminer, Müller Turgay, Schwarzriesling, Cabernet Sauvignon and Blauer Portugieser.

For each variety, the optimal site and an individual approach to vinification are selected.
Pinot Noir with a memorable fox at the label almost immediately became the flagship wine of the economy and for many years was one of the best in the country. Together with Chardonnay it is planted on the most difficult mountainous areas with soils rich in shell rock depositions.

White wines are fermented in stainless steel vats and aged for a short time in new barrels. Winemakers see their wines in long-term perspective.

Red wines are produced with full destemming, gentle pressing and aging in oak.
All vineyards practice significant yield restrictions. All wines are classified according to VDP by geographical origin.
