Domaine Robert Groffier Pere&Fils
BRAND OWNER
The estate was originated in the 19th century by Frederick Groffier. In the 1930s, the property passed into the hands of Jules, Frederick’s son. He significantly expanded the vineyard area by acquiring new lands, but all the grapes were sold to large manufacturers. Robert Groffier first began bottling wines under his own name. In the 80s, Serge Groffier managed the winery.

He handed over the reins to his son later. Today Nicolas Groffier continues the family business using all accumulated experience. QUOTE: "Each wine of the Robert Groffier Domaine was the best example of its terroir, from basic to Grand Cru. The meticulous work of Serge Groffier (Robert's son) in the vineyards is manifested in every glass of wine of this well-known Domaine, which will soon become famous." Robert Parker, THE FACT!!: In the late 1990s, Robert Groffier Domaine was named one of the four best manufacturers of Burgundy in the 6th edition of Parker’s Wine Buyer’s Guide.
