Jean-Marc Milhaud began to grow grapes in the 1980s on 6 hectare family vineyard planted by his grandparents after The Second World War as well as a small 1 hectare plot that his wife inherits. Wines labeled Jean-Marc Millot began to be produced in 1992, until that time most of the grapes were sold. In 1997, Milhaud added the Vosne-Romanée Lessuchots premier cru, as Échezeaux, Grands Échezeaux and Clos de Vougeot grand cru to his holdings. Now Jean Marc plays a minor role in the winery, most of the work was taken over by his daughter Alix in 2014.
