Vougeot
COMMUNE
Vougeot is a commune (village) in the heart of the Côtes de Nuits region, covering a small area of 64 hectares. Its most important part is the Clos de Vougeot vineyard which was planted by the monks of the Citeau monastery back in 1110 and covers 80% of the area of the entire commune of Vougeot and is the largest Grand Cru in Côte de Nuits.
